That photo inspired me to go lay by my youngest dog. He was at the doggie ER yesterday and I'm waiting for the specialist to call for an appointment. The vet suspects he has leukemia or an intestinal tumor causing internal bleeding. When you're worrying it's hard to remember to make the most of the moments you have. Thanks for the reminder.
Kaylee is slowing down a lot - we've started her on the pain meds finally (I think we were holding off because we know it's the beginning of the end) and she's acting so very, very tired. Still lets us cuddle her, and she's still eating, so the end isn't immediate, but I can see her winding down. And it's so very, very sad.
So, yes, absolutely, enjoy every small moment you've got.
Oh, give her a cuddle for me. Ironically, our 14 year-old with the liver tumor has found new life with arthritis meds and is still asyptomatic. It makes Eddie hobbling behind him even harder to see but I'm so happy for Otis.
