Our kitty, Kaylee, is still acting like her old self. If you didn't know she was sick, you wouldn't be able to tell -- she's still snuggly, and playful, and she still eats and drinks her water fine. When you look at her straight-on though, you can see her fur puffing out where the tumor under her right cheek is growing bigger. It still doesn't seem to pain her though, so we're happy about that much, at least. She's been getting tons of cuddles and loving from us.
Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate it! Today we're going to my parents' house for dinner, and bringing along my parents-in-law. I hope my MIL behaves herself. She tends to want to be the center of attention, and to dominate every conversation. But maybe she won't be so bad when it's someone else's house/gathering.
HA! Kaylee is pushing me out of my chair. It's become her current favorite napping place... and since we're spoiling her silly while we still can, I'm going to vacate it and let her have it. :-)
How do you feel about your birthday? Do you look forward to it and remind all your friends, or do you dread it and try to keep it a secret?
Is this a total coincidence or is there something in the vox techie-stuff that knows my birthday is coming up?
Anyhoo, I generally love my birthday. It usually means PRESENTS, and because I am tragically self-serving, I love getting more stuff. It also usually means getting to do "whatever I want" (that's a rule I've instituted myself) so, since my birthday lands on this Friday, I'm taking the day off work.
I "remind" my friends in that I tell them what our plans are... I tend to be the "planner" in this group of friends so if I want to actually DO anything for my birthday, I have to be the one to plan it.
There may come a day when I dread my birthday... but 34 isn't old enough (yet) to dread.
Which breed of dog is your favorite? Post a picture of it.

Shiba Inu! And why? Dork reason. My Nintendo DS Lite has a game - NintenDogs - and "my dog" is a Shiba Inu name Baku! He's pretty awesome. And now of course I want a real-life Shiba Inu! :-)
If you could get everyone in the world to change their behavior in one way, what would you have them do differently?

I would make everyone, and I mean EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON actually use their turn signals when they are turning and/or merging. EVERY TIME. Conversely they would also have to turn them off again when they were done and not leave them flashing for miles and miles.
If everyone did this, the world would be a happier place, I am sure of it.
What are some things that are worth (and not worth) spending money on?

My rambly answer:
It is worth the money for the monthly gym membership, because it guilts me into going. Buying exercise DVDs that contain annoying, overly-chipper workout instructors is not worth it.
Books are always worth the money. DVDs make me happy just to own them, so they're worth it too. Food is something that I often feel is NOT worth the money, because you eat it and then what have you got to show for the money spent? It's its REALLY GOOD food though, like in a restaurant, then that's worth it. Because then you get the whole experience of the atmosphere, and whomever you're eating the meal with.
And, anything related to Doctor Who, David Bowie, or Neil Gaiman is worth the money. :-)
